The original Harzer Hexenstieg
Since 10 years the Harzer Hexenstieg is on the same track. But there are some maps (printed and digital) which show a wrong track like Gamins Topo Germany. Generally you don’t need a map even an electrical navigation. There are signs every 300m.

Hexenstieg Spreading
Not many hiker will complete the Hexenstieg in one part. Generally you can say that the accommodations are the basement of the spreading. If don’t like the hotels or pensions you have to leave the Hexenstieg. Braunlage, Clausthal and Bad Harzburg offer more possibilities of accommodations.
